Minimum Qualifications
Reachable on the Civil Service eligible list for Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

OR

One year permanent competitive service as a Senior Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor or eligible for 70.1 transfer

Duties Description
Supervise professional and support staff.

Assign new cases to professional staff for evaluation and preparation of rehabilitation plans for legally blind/visually impaired CBVH consumers.

Review and approve case plans, case closures and refer case plans to medical consultants or higher-level supervisors as necessary.

Monitor assigned counselors' case activities to ensure cases are handled properly and expeditiously.

Promote rehabilitation services and employment opportunities for the handicapped by maintaining communications with educational, medical, welfare, and industrial organizations and personnel.
