Salary RangeFrom $57983 to $72413 Annually
Minimum Qualifications You must take and pass a civil service examination in order to be considered for this position.
(Grade 14) - A Bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 24 semester credit hours in accounting, auditing, and/or taxation courses. NOTE: courses such as business law, economics, statistics, and most finance courses, although taken as part of the accounting
curriculum, cannot be counted toward the 24 semester credit hours.
(Grade 18) - Either 1) Reachable on the Civil Service eligible list. OR 2) Eligible for reassignment by virtue of having permanent competitive service as a Senior Auditor (G-18); OR 3) Eligible for transfer under the provisions of sections 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law by virtue of having one year of permanent competitive service in a transferable title.
Duties Description The incumbent duties include but are not limited to performing systematic examinations and appraisals of the System's operations to provide assurance that transactions, accounts and operations:
- Comply with governing laws, rules, and regulations
- Are managed efficiently and effectively within a system of sound and rational internal controls
- Provide reliable information
These activities require the application of professional accounting and auditing standards and principles.

- Ability to utilize computer assisted audit techniques to solve specific problems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to travel
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Holding, or a willingness to pursue, valid professional certifications by examination (e.g., CIA, CPA, CFE, CISA, CIDA, CCSA)
