Minimum Qualifications
Eligible for appointment from the Civil Service List OR One year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as a Head Clerk Personnel or eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service law.
Duties Description Oversee various recruitment activities such as canvassing, reassignments and postings.
Maintains a master list of all referrals, appointments, declinations, etc. for the Appointments Office, and all exempt and non-competitive phi-tagged positions in the agency.
Supervise several clerical staff, including approving leave, monitoring work progress, assigning and reassigning work.
Coordinating reports on workload and performance measurements for bureau management and assisting with HR analytics activities.
Assist with various reporting functions using HCM, NYSTEP, etc. and when necessary serving as a liaison with ITS on technology issues.
Oversee the Temporary Employee Agency (TEA) authorizations and invoices.
Coordinate staff training and development to ensure adequate coverage and for succession planning to allow staff the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and abilities for promotion.
Monitor the employee separation processes and controls on behalf of the agency.
Facilitate and track transactions in the internal request to fill system.
