Minimum Qualifications This position is open to current NYS employees who have either completed one year of permanent competitive service in the Administrative Program Aide title and to those eligible for 70.1 transfer into this title from titles such as Accountant Aide or Administrative Aide OR those reachable on the Civil Service (CS) eligible list for this title. You need not apply if you are currently on the CS eligible list as we are canvassing the list

Duties Description The incumbent of this position is responsible for providing support to professional staff in the Empire State Development Division of Economic Analysis and Research, the central research arm of the organization. The duties include development and analysis of key economic development information, and some administrative tasks.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Applies analytical techniques:
o Develops, maintains, and updates database programs and models as required
o Collects and analyzes statistics and information
o Develops and implements methods of data analysis
o Develops tabulations of data for analysis
o Prepares tables, charts, and reports to describe the analysis

• Prepares and edits draft correspondence and other documents

• Assists in ensuring compliance with administrative and programmatic requirements:
o Reviews and processes grant applications, grant awards, and contracts
o Monitors and manages the financial status of grants, State budgets, and contracts.
o Assists with purchasing and vendor management.
