Minimum Qualifications Interested candidates must currently be on the Information Technology Specialist 4 list, OR be eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
52.6 Transfer:
Candidates must have one year of permanent, competitive service in a qualifying title allocated to salary grade 23 or higher.
Duties Description • Managing and maintaining the IT Service Management (ITSM) function and roadmap.
• Providing a single point of contact for IT service management across all IT functions.
• Coordinating with Process Owners to prioritize and integrate process development and continuous improvement activities this includes people, process, and technology (ServiceNow).
• Creating and managing project plans to implement ITSM processes both throughout the organization and in ServiceNow
• Overseeing and guiding work performed by Business Analysts during the implementation and updates to ServiceNow.
• Facilitating meetings of the ITSM Group to ensure governance activities for all ITSM functions are coordinated.
• Ensuring that service management policy, process and procedure documentation is created, updated and maintained within ServiceNow.
• Leading and facilitating implementation of new functionality in ServiceNow including coordinating communication to CIO staff, business customers and other key stakeholders.
• Creating and assisting with the training of CIO staff on service management processes and procedures (may extend to key customer stakeholders).
• Performing regular updates to the Project Portfolio.
• Performing a review of projects to identify and document – risks, dependencies, resources, budget and time constraints between and within projects.
• Provide metrics and trends to CIO Management for projects.
• Work with individual project managers within CIO to complete necessary project documents depending on the size of the project (work plan, communications plan, resource plan, procurement documents, risk assessment, etc).
• Transition CIO Project Portfolio into ServiceNow and develop plan to expand use of ServiceNow for project and portfolio management.
• Perform project management tasks for projects that are Division wide as needed.
• Participate in large enterprise wide projects to ensure CIO resource commitments are managed and communicated.
Additional Comments Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong project planning and management skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work with various groups to reach alignment and resolve conflicts.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow.
• ITIL Foundations Certification preferred, but not required.
• PMP preferred, but not required.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in IT or business or related field.
