Minimum Qualifications Eligible for 70.1 transfer, for example, one year of permanent competitive service in a G-9 or higher keyboarding title such as a Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding), Secretary 1, Senior Data Entry Machine Operator, Data Processing Clerk 2, etc.

Duties Description The incumbent will perform varied and complex duties to produce and compose documents for printing, e.g., test booklets and examination announcements. The incumbent is expected to have sound knowledge of word processing (preferably Microsoft Word) and computers, and a high degree of skill and ability in the following areas: typing speed, accuracy, and formatting; proofreading and editing, organization and prioritization, and the ability to learn new programs and tasks as necessary. The incumbent will receive training in such applications as Ventura, Test Item Data Bank programs, MAPPER, scanning, and photo-editing software. They will also perform organizational and clerical duties such as file set up and maintenance (both hard copy and electronic).
The Exams Support Section processes work within tight timeframes and within deadlines dictated by the operating and production schedules of the Testing and Staffing Divisions. Examination Composition Assistants must be able to organize and prioritize work, switch projects as necessary, maintain a high degree of confidentiality, have good interpersonal skills, and process work with accuracy and speed.
