Minimum Qualifications NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service as an Agency Program Aide, G-13 or any current NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent competitive service in a title allocated to G-11 or higher, and eligible for transfer to Agency Program Aide under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications
Proficient computer skills including spreadsheet, database, presentation and word processing software. Strong analytical, organizational, writing and proofreading skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a professional manner; manage multiple activities and meet deadlines; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Duties Description The incumbent will be responsible for providing paraprofessional support to staff of the NYS Stem Cell Science Program (NYSTEM), Spinal Cord Injury Research Program, and Breast Cancer Research and Education Program, including three advisory boards. The incumbent will apply analytical techniques as required by program areas; prepare and edit correspondence, meeting minutes, reports and other documents; monitor data quality; ensure distribution of data via appropriate media (internet, presentations, written reports); assist or independently prepare, review, evaluate and analyze data and reports; and assist in the administrative support of high quality public health research efforts. This position includes periodic travel, which may include areas not served by public transportation.
