Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for 70.1 transfer.

Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) provides high-quality, person-centered services, supports and advocacy to approximately 123,000 individuals with developmental disabilities in New York State. We are guided in our interactions with the people we serve and each other by compassion, dignity, diversity, excellence and honesty.
OPWDD’s division of Statewide Services and the Bureau of Intensive Treatment Services (BITS) is seeking a Secretary 1 to support staff working within BITS and the Division of Service Delivery through providing administrative support to the division Deputy Director.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide administrative support to clinicians and agency administrators.
• Arrange gate passes to ensure individuals with forensic involvement are transported safely and efficiently to an OPWDD setting.
• Monitor and track court orders to ensure they are responded to in a timely manner.
• Organize information from individual’s records so documentation is available for clinicians to efficiently review.
• Enter information in to specified databases.
• Support project management staff who are designated to carry out various projects and initiatives by keeping meeting minutes, organizing and filing information, and typing documents.
• Perform Commissioner Review Committee (CRC) clerical tasks.
• Prepare, modify and edit spreadsheets and documents using the Microsoft office suite.
• Perform other tasks which fall under the categories of communication, coordination, organization and records maintenance.
