Duties Description Behavioral Services Program Coordinator
This position is being offered by Team 2, Program Division. The primary duty is to provide oversight of all Behavioral Services, both waiver and non-waiver, in the eight counties of the CNYDDRO. Oversight of behavioral services includes Intensive Behavioral Service Waiver (IBS); CAANS completion and tracking; Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Evaluation, Treatment and Therapy Services (IDBS); as well as Transitional Behavioral Services (TBS). There may be other services added to this position in the future. This position will also provide recruitment, training and technical support to voluntary agencies. In addition, this position will assist the Family Support Coordinator in oversight of respite services and cross coverage of Family Support Services. There may be other assignments, as needed by the team. Travel will be based on the needs of the provider agencies.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The successful candidate for this position will:
•Possess a working knowledge of HCBS waiver, individualized services, state-funded services, and generic community as well as OPWDD-sponsored human services and resources.
•Demonstrate an ability to develop and present well-organized and effective training and education to internal and external stakeholders in a cogent and professional manner.
Demonstrate knowledge of CNYDDRO/OPWDD policies and procedures, especially those related to service development and standards compliance as it relates to OPWDD-funded services.
• Be flexible in their work schedule and able to adjust work hours to meet program needs & assist team members in response to urgent consumer/family needs.
• Demonstrate empathy, respect and warmth when interacting with those we serve and their families/advocates, colleagues within the Regional Office, as well as colleagues in Central Office, State Operations and the other Provider Agencies the RO is associated with along with the public at large.
• Possess an ability to communicate in a thorough, concise, accurate and professional manner both verbally and in writing, including the ability to speak in public for the purpose of sharing information related to the RO and various Team 2 functions.
• Have demonstrated an ability to manage time well and work independently, including having shown an ability to travel to and from various sites in a reasonable amount of time, ensuring that OPWDD and the Regional Office is consistently represented in a manner which exemplifies professionalism and honors the public trust.
• Possess a positive work history (E-file).
• Possess an acceptable attendance record as specified in CNYDDSO’s T&A Policy.
Additional Comments Must have the ability to adjust work hours to meet the operational and supervisory needs of the worksite, in accordance with Article 32 of the PS&T contract.

All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
