Duties Description The State University of New York System Administration, located in Albany, New York, is seeking to hire several temporary employees for the position of Office Assistant 1 to help process undergraduate applications for admission. The duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for entering and verifying undergraduate student data submitted via electronic on-line and paper applications.
Edit and update data on various computer systems.
Match, scan, and upload supplemental application materials.
Operate a variety of office equipment and perform general clerical duties, as needed, such as faxing, photocopying, and filing.
Assist with applications throughout all stages of processing, such as preparing, stamping, logging receipt numbers, batching work, and distributing completed work to the appropriate campuses.
Open, sort, and distribute mail as needed.
Key payments to student records and release applications held for payment.
Process cash, check, and credit card monies
Gather, organize, and compile data from manual and automated processes.
Additional Comments It is anticipated that overtime will be needed during peak season. These positions will be for a period of three to six months. Rate of pay is $12.00 per hour. These positions are benefits eligible.
