Minimum Qualifications This is a transfer opportunity for current State Employees. The position is an 18-month traineeship leading to a CSEA grade 9. To be transfer eligible you must have current permanent or contingent permanent status as an Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), LDDS Trainee, or LDDS.

If you are reachable on the Beginning Clerical Worker Civil Service Eligible List you may receive a canvass letter in the mail.

CANDIDATE MAY BE REQUIRED TO TAKE AND PASS A TYPING PERFORMANCE TEST.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: PRACTICAL KNOWLEDGE OF MICROSOFT OUTLOOK, WORD, AND EXCEL, IS PREFERRED.

Duties Description • Answer, screen and route phone calls. Receive, review, route and send mail. Prepare routine correspondence. Maintain calendar for meetings, litigation, and reporting deadlines.
• Produce a wide variety of form litigation documents including, but not limited to, notices of appearance, answers, affirmations, motions, memoranda of law, stipulations, judgments and orders.
• Confer with document originator to establish content of document.
• Edit legal work to comply with court rules, regulations and recording requirements.
• Create and maintain case files.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
