Additional Comments South Beach Psychiatric Center (SBPC) is seeking a dynamic leader, with proven experience in the field of mental health treatment, to fill the position of Clinical Director, Psychiatric Center.

SBPC is a New York State operated, Joint Commission (TJC) accredited, mental health facility located on the eastern shore of Staten Island, New York. SBPC offers a comprehensive continuum of care of mental health services to adults and adolescents living in Brooklyn (the fastest growing borough in NYC) and Staten Island. Services include: intermediate inpatient care (260 adult inpatient beds and 11 adolescent inpatient beds); psychiatric rehabilitation services; three (3) Transitional Living Residences; and community-based services (e.g., 6 outpatient clinics in Brooklyn and 2 outpatient clinics in Staten Island, mobile outreach, and Assertive Community Treatment teams) to over 3,500 individuals. SBPC also operates
specialized treatment programs serving LGBT patients and monolingual patients.

All services provided by SBPC are delivered in a respectful, safe and caring environment with a primary focus on hope and recovery. They promote a system of care in which treatment,
rehabilitation and recovery are realized through ongoing collaboration with patients, their families and the service providers within the facility's catchment area. Emphasis is on services that are person centered, strength and evidence-based, and that recognize the importance of individual preferences.

SBPC, which will soon open a brand new inpatient facility, is a short drive from the Verrazano Bridge and is accessible via public transportation.
