Minimum Qualifications Transfer Qualifications:
Provisional Qualifications: Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title designate as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
Candidates must have at least one year of permanent competitive service in a professional training position allocated to a Grade 23 or above. If appointed provisionally, incumbent will need to pass the next exam holding for this title and be reachable in order to receive a permanent appointment.
Non-Competitive Qualifications: If the number of interested eligible candidates is three or less, the agency, at its discretion, may nominate a candidate for a non-competitive promotion under the provisions of Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law. In order to be eligible for an NCP, candidates must have one year of permanent, competitive service as an Associate Directors Training 1, or two years as a Training Specialist 2.
Duties Description The incumbent of the Associate Director Training 2 within the Office of Operations & Programs will manage and oversee the Staff Development unit, which is responsible for developing, conducting and managing multiple functions for WCB staff. Duties include, but are not limited to: Managing and providing direction to employees; overseeing multiple staff trainings, Staff Development Website, mandated staff SLMS training, issuance of Pre-retirement, GOER, CSEA, PS&T and MC training announcements; facilitating Training Director’s roundtable meetings; and participating in the Trainer Community of Practice sessions.
