Minimum Qualifications A Bachelors degree and some experience in media, communications or public relations.
Duties Description The NYS Joint Commission on Public Ethics ("JCOPE") is seeking an experienced Communications Assistant/ Press Aide to join its Communications & Public Information Office in Albany, NY.
Specific activities include, but are not limited to: handling initial media or other inquires, drafting press releases, researching and developing information for responses to inquires, and assisting with compiling publicly available records conforming to record request from the media and members of the public.
Additional Comments Other activities: communicating policies, procedures and actions of the Commission to the media, public and other interested parties, and assisting in managing response to inquiries. Performs other duties as determined by the Director and/ or Executive Director.
