Minimum Qualifications Interested candidates must currently be reachable on the Information Technology Specialist 3,
SG-23 list, OR be eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
52.6 Transfer:
Candidates must have one year of permanent, competitive service in a qualifying title allocated to salary grade 21 or higher.
Duties Description • Maintain FileNet System.
• Install and configure FileNet software.
• Apply updates, patches, and configuration changes to FileNet software.
• Monitor FileNet system communication, performance, and usage.
• Create and maintain system documentation.
• Provide technical FileNet support to users, other administrators, and integrators/developers.
• Troubleshoot FileNet system issues.
• Deploy custom FileNet code.
• Facilitate data loading into FileNet system.
• Develop/Support custom FileNet Workplace Applications.
• Create and maintain Workplace application documentation.
• Gather User Requirements.
• Facilitate user testing.
• Supervise, assist, train, and mentor ITS 2 staff in the support and maintenance of the FileNet System.
Additional Comments Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Demonstrated experience administering a FileNet Enterprise system (3 months to less than 1 year).
• Experience developing and supporting FileNet Workplace applications.
• Experience administering FileNet Capture.
• Experience administering ECM System Monitor.
• Experience with UNIX based systems.
• Experience with WebSphere Application Server.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise systems and determining where issues exist within system architectures.
• Experience in analysis and design, and the ability to interact with both technical and business staff. This should include internal and external resources such as vendors.
• Experience working directly with business units to facilitate defining and documenting business requirements and specifications.
• Experience with technical and end-user testing.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery and Fail Over for enterprise systems.
• Strong analytical / troubleshooting skills.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Strong oral communication skills.
