Duties Description Working under the direct supervision of a Principal Classification and Pay Analyst, the incumbent will be involved with the organizational management activities of assigned State agencies. These activities frequently involve interactions with high level managers and executives from various State agencies, tours and workforce audits of State facilities and offices, and meetings with Executive Branch policymakers from the Division of the Budget, the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations, and the Office of the State Comptroller involved in centralized workforce management issues.

Assigned work will include:
• Position classification and reclassification.
• Title allocation and reallocation.
• Review and analysis of out-of-title work grievances.
• Preparation of classification standards.
• Analysis of the application of the State’s salary differentials.
• Input on transfer and reemployment determinations.
• Involvement in special projects and studies.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to complete these activities include research and analysis, preparation and review of a wide variety of written materials, and the ability to discuss, present, and defend cases/recommendations with agencies, supervisory staff, and Department of Civil Service management. The incumbent must have strong computing and oral/written communication skills.
