Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Under the supervision of the Director of Employee Safety & Health, the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Coordination of multiple Statewide Employee Safety & Health Programs including but not limited to, Building Inspection, Staff Safety Programs, Worker’s Compensation, Alternative Duty, Accident Prevention and Loss Control, Data Management, Department Wellness, Workplace Violence Prevention and special safety initiatives,
• Establish and maintain liaison with DOT Program Managers, volunteer staff, OGS, State Police and other NYS agencies,
• Preparation of routine and special statistical reports,
• Other related assignments as required.

Statewide travel is required.

Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
