Salary RangeFrom $53339 to $67827 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Permanent: Permanent service in this title or one year of permanent competitive service in a title SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law (the only title eligible for transfer is Sr. Investigator); or reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list.
Provisional: You must be a current employee of the Office of Victims Services and have one year of permanent competitive or 55b/55c service as a Crime Victims Specialist 1, Crime Victims Specialist 1 (Spanish Language), or Agency Program Aide.
Duties Description The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: supervising Office Assistants 2 who investigate Essential Personal Property (EPP) claims; supervising Crime Victim Specialists 1 (CVS 1) who investigate Personal Injury and Death claims and are primarily responsible for additional medical requests on claims; instructing and training staff on agency policy and procedures; monitoring time and attendance and developing performance evaluation programs for staff; handling complex claims and claimant issues; reviewing reopens and appeal requests from claimants for claims processed through the EPP unit and CVS 1s; and providing internal and external training as needed.
