Duties Description • Prepare daily, week-ending and month end reports with checks (including cover letters and memos to client agencies).
• Receive, screen, review and verify payment documents.
• Post payments to appropriate accounts in the Silvercar database and maintain log of non-Silvercar account payments in access database. Organize and prepare checks for deposit, which includes posting to computer system, scanning checks and reports, prepare receipt log for finance and delivering to finance.
• Posting offsets, advised payments, returned checks and refunds.
• Compare deposit totals against daily reports and logs.
• Process returned checks and refunds, prepare letters to debtors and memos to file.
• Track papers that are filed with the county clerk and prepare affidavits.
• Back-up for Printing, collating and processing of Silvercar letters.
• Operate office machines such as photocopier, adding machines, calculators, computer, printers, typewriters and fax machine.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Comments Office Assistant 2 is a promotional title. You must be a current or former NYS employee who is eligible to transfer or be reinstated to the Office Assistant 2 title or who is "reachable" on the Office Assistant 2 Civil Service list.
