Transfer Opportunity One year of permanent competitive service as a Children and Family Services Manager 1 or Eligible for a 52.6 transfer.
Provisional Opportunity One year of permanent competitive service as a Children and Family Services Specialist 2, Child Protective Services Specialist 3, Adoption Specialist, Assoc. Public Information Specialist, Youth Counselor 2 or Youth Counselor 3 titles in OCFS.
Duties Description Responsible for oversight, monitoring and implementation of the Supervision and Treatment Services to Juveniles Program (STSJP).
Responsible for making sure the programs are achieving their goals and objectives and the impact of the program interventions.
Incumbent will work closely with localities to insure programs are meeting their intended outcomes; will serve as STSJP’s Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator and will coordinate with local jurisdictions throughout NYS in their efforts to develop and implement effective programs for youth at risk.
Responsible for supervision and oversight of the OCP contracts unit and work closely with the Community Multi-Service Offices (CMSO) Senior Staff of DJJOY to evaluate their performance and develop strategies to drive performance improvement.

Seeking a candidate that has excellent writing and communication skills. Ability to develop presentations, gather data and respond to external inquires for the Deputy Commissioner. Function as an independent thinker and decision maker with proficiency in multi-tasking.
Possess knowledge of NYS Juvenile Justice system.
