REASSIGNMENT QUALIFICATIONS: An employee with one year permanent competitive service as a Employment Services Representative, Grade 18 is eligible for reassignment to any location where a vacancy exists in the title.
TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:
70.1 Transfer Qualifications: Candidates with one year permanent competitive service, or who have successfully completed a permanent traineeship in the following titles may qualify for transfer to Employment Services Representative, Grade 18
Labor Services Representative – Grade 16
Labor Services Representative (Spanish Language) – Grade 16
Labor Services Representative (Chinese Language) – Grade 16
Labor Services Representative (Korean Language) – Grade 16
Labor Services Representative (LVER) – Grade 16
Employment Counselor – Grade 18
Jobs Program Specialist – Grade 16
Temporary Assistance Specialist 1 – Grade 18
Hourly LSR’s are not eligible for transfer or reassignment.
Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES: As an Employment Services Representative in the Division of Employment and Workforce Solutions (DEWS), you would promote the relationship between businesses and participating agencies within the Workforce Career Center System. You would assess the skills of workers impacted by layoffs, organize targeted job fairs, develop customized recruitment events and customize presentations of DOL services and programs to business associations and affected businesses. You will represent DEWS and DOL at job fairs and coordinate community relations programs with partner organizations such as Local Workforce Investment Board, State and local economic development agency, or Chamber of Commerce. The Employment Services Representative will outreach to businesses and engage them in the promotion and usage of available services and provide any technical assistance to facilitate their use of these services. The representative will also monitor all business activities and do follow up to ensure the businesses needs were met.
