Minimum Qualifications Interested candidates must be reachable on the Professional Accounting and Auditing Positions eligible list or currently an employee of New York State eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.

To be eligible for a 70.1 transfer to a Sr. Accountant, SG-18, a candidate must:
Have one year of permanent, competitive service in a qualifying title, a bachelor's degree and 24 credit hours in accounting/auditing courses.

To be eligible for a 70.1 transfer to an Accountant Trainee, a candidate must:
Have one year of permanent, competitive service in a qualifying title, a bachelor's degree including 24 credit hours in accounting and/or auditing courses.

To be eligible for 70.4 transfer to an Accountant Trainee, a candidate must:
Have one year of permanent, competitive service in a position allocated to a grade 12 or higher, and meet the open competitive minimum qualifications of the position, and have passed the Professional Positions in Accounting and Auditing examination.

To be eligible for a 70.4 transfer to the Sr. Accountant, SG-18, a candidate must:
Have one year permanent, competitive service in a position allocated to a grade 16 or higher and meet the open competitive minimum qualifications of the position, and have passed the Professional Positions in Accounting and Auditing examination.

To be eligible to transfer from an Accountant Aide to an Accountant Trainee 1, the candidate must:
Have one year of permanent competitive service as an Accountant Aide, and 24 credit hours in accounting/auditing.

Duties Description Reconcile and settlement domestic equity, fixed income and short-term investment transactions.
• Responsible for CRF daily reconciliation, recording and reporting domestic equity, short-term and fixed income trades to Custodial records.
• Responsible for identifying and resolving any trade discrepancies.
• Responsible for affirming internally managed domestic equity trades.

Confirmation and settlement of alternative investment transactions.
• Responsible for providing detailed wiring instructions for any CRF disbursements to fund Private Equity, Mortgage and Real Estate, Absolute Return Strategy, Opportunistic Funds, Real Assets, and Global Funding investments.
• Responsible for maintaining authorized disbursement vouchers with appropriate signatures and the federal reference wire number and attached documentation.

Respond to auditor, regulator and examiner requests.
• Respond to auditor request for source documentation.
• Coordinate the information collection for the yearly audit related to investment transactions.

Maintain and reconcile security master files.
• Maintain, update and research all master records for global and domestic securities in the Investment Accounting System.
• Reconcile master records with Bloomberg and Custodian to ensure accurate, timely income processing and corporate action processing.

Provide daily general ledger trade information.
o Provide daily summary information to the General Ledger section for all investment transactions.
