Minimum Qualifications Either: 1) Reachable on a Civil Service eligible list (if you are on the eligible list for this title, you will automatically be canvassed for this position if your score is reachable for potential appointment); OR 2) Eligible for reassignment by virtue of having a permanent competitive service as a Office Assistant 1 (Grade 6); OR 3) Eligible for transfer under the provisions of Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law by virtue of having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title.

Duties Description Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
-- Conversion of microfilm records into a scanned and indexed electronic image format.
- Breakdown and conversion of bound books into an imaged format.
- Imaging of member records includes varied duties, such as preparing new mail and/or records for scanning, indexing and verifying the attributes given the documents in the image system, and sometimes the actual scanning of the documents into the image system.
These functions require the use of a Personal Computer and software with associated keyboarding.
- Rotation on a regular basis into the various roles in the Records Management unit in order to be sufficiently proficient in all functionality to step into other roles as necessitated by absences or vacations.
-The ability to multi-task is inherent in the requirements of this
position.
- Record Center tasks including maintaining logs, requesting/receiving/prepping files, and distributing them to the requesting staff.
- EMC Documentum scanning as needed. Scanning and editing as necessary for the system's record retention program. Available for other records retention programs as they become necessary.
- Knowledge of Kofax a plus.
- Knowledge of EMC Documentum a plus.
-General Correspondence Application Maintenance as needed.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word required.
- May be cross-trained in creating and maintaining the General
Correspondence Application / Word templates used by Member Relations for their correspondence and all other aspects of this responsibility.
- Other duties include performing, evaluating, designing, and modifying clerical processing procedures as necessary. May include scanning of microfilm. Verbal communication with other staff.
