Duties Description The primary duties of the HSN will be to regularly provide assessment and diagnostic services at the EHS Brooklyn clinic. The services provided are pre-employment, fitness-for-duty and occupational health medical examinations. The incumbent will be asked to travel to provide immunization services in the NYC area and occasionally to Long Island to assist with pre-employment examinations and occupational health services at EHS’ Hauppauge clinic and OPWDD sites in NYC and Long Island. Travel is estimated to be primarily day trips.
Because the incumbent will be based at an EHS nurse station, the nurse will be available to provide nursing services to employees at 55 Hansen Place. Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for the following nursing duties:
Administering emergency nursing care, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
Providing skilled nursing and follow-up care for both occupational and non-occupational illnesses and injuries;
Maintaining health records, supplies and equipment located in the nurse station.
The nurse will be expected to work independently and without direct on-site supervision. The work week is 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.
