Minimum Qualifications Applicant must be an employee of The Office for People with Developmental Disabilities and must have permanent or contingent permanent status as a Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1; OR be reachable on the Civil Service list; OR currently encumber a position in which you are eligible to transfer to this position.

Duties Description This position is essential to the Core Mission of OPWDD. The staff will be the Front Door Team leader in Manhattan. Regional Office experience preferred. Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Supervise the Front Door team and develop, provide and coordinate training needs for staff involved in the Front Door.
• Provide and coordinate training and information sessions to students, families and school districts on OPWDD’s Front Door and the availability of services.
• Ensure the implementation of consistent policies and practices related to the Front Door.
• Provide information and technical assistance to OPWDD staff and voluntary providers as OPWDD transitions to the People First Waiver.

The Front Door is an important OPWDD initiative. This position will support the implementation of the Front Door. The Manhattan Front Door Team Leader will enable the DDRO Region 4 to have a staff person solely dedicated to ensuring the consistent implementation of Front Door activities in the borough of Manhattan.
