*Applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a Bachelor’s Degree supplemented by 24 hours in Accounting and/or Auditing from an accredited college or university.
Duties Description Standard Duties: Under the general direction of the Principal Accountant, the incumbent will supervise subordinate Accountants in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Unit of the Financial Management Section. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for the monitoring of the WIOA, TAA, Worker Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) and Foreign Labor Certification (FLC) programs including the oversight of spending analyses and projections. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the fiscal review of federally funded grant contracts and the processing of the contracts in SFS. The incumbent will possess an understanding of accounting principles and procedures specific to DOL federal and state programs. The incumbent in a supervisory capacity has a close working relationship with subordinate staff in developing assignments, evaluating performance, giving instructions and providing assistance in resolving difficult matters.
