Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to respond to emergencies, traverse rough terrain, work in remote locations, work in extreme weather conditions, climb ladders. it is preferred that candidate has some knowledge of the facilities operated from the Indian Lake working circle.

Duties Description Must have dependable transportation. Must be able, where applicable, to do manual work such as digging ditches, climbing roofs to repair or replace, and cleaning facilities. Extra physical work must be able to perform manual work such as raking, shoveling, picking up litter, assisting with tree felling and removal as per DEC certifications or to assist with removing brush and/or firewood. All tasks are to be conducted in a manner, with any injuries/illnesses reported immediately to supervisor. May need to function as a crew leader or an area supervisor in the absence of permanent staff and must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends if necessary during inclement winter weather, assisting with snow removal.

Additional Comments May have unanticipated schedule changes. Up to 90% outdoor work in winter months. Jobs my vary drastically depending on program needs (i.e. cement work, manual labor, inventorying, paperwork, trail work, cleaning, and other various jobs).

The work week is Monday- Friday unless it is necessary to work weekends. Carpentry experience is preferred.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
