Minimum Qualifications One year of post licensure experience as a Registered Nurse and two years of experience delivering specialize training in a classroom setting.
Duties Description PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Talent Development & Training Unit plays an integral role within the OPWDD framework. The unit provides staff with the necessary training and development activities needed to perform their jobs with the highest level of effectiveness and efficiency. Talent Development & Training staff work hard towards the goal of ensuring that all OPWDD employees have the skills and supports they need to help individuals with developmental disabilities live richer lives.
• Assist with updating the mandated statewide annual refresher topics, and ensure the content meets regulatory requirements.
• Provides technical assistance related to developing and updating training policies and manuals.
• Inform employees and program managers of available training and educational opportunities
• Engage in face to face oral communications with trainees and other agency staff on a group or individual basis
• Provide instruction in nursing, treatment and health care subjects specific to employees responsible for the care of the individuals we serve
• Incumbent of this position provide specialized instruction in nursing, treatment and health care subjects specific to employees responsible for the care and custody of vulnerable populations in institutional and community settings.
