Minimum Qualifications New York State employees with one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as a Human Resources Specialist 2 and eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law; OR one year of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a title allocated to a SG-21 or above and eligible for transfer under section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Perform a variety of duties in support of human resources administration for the Office of General Services and Host Agencies. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising, mentoring and coaching staff as well as performing a wide range of classification and recruitment activities in accordance with Civil Service Law, Rules and Regulations, policies, and procedures. Duties include: researching, planning, and preparing classification requests and personnel transactions, participating in examination planning and development activities, providing guidance and assistance to program staff regarding appointment, promotion, transfer, status or salary of employees. Prepare routine correspondence and reports and carry out full supervisory responsibilities.
