Duties Description Reporting to a senior-level staff person, the Refugee and Immigrant Assistance Specialist 1, will provide supportive services in the management of programs specific to services and benefits for refugees and individuals in other like categories, including human trafficking victims. The selected candidate will assist in the management of a wide range of activities from the conceptualization of a program initiative or program changes, through acquisition of funding, procurement of providers, development of contracts, training of service providers, and oversight of program performance and review of claims for the costs of services. Specific program management tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Prepare applications for funding;

• Manage the state procurement process for contracts;

• Develop new contracts and amend continuing contracts as needed;

• Monitor program and contract performance;

• Provide program technical assistance and training;

• Provide assistance and guidance to contractors in preparing for refugee services workshops;

• Coordinate activities involving internal and external auditors/investigators when necessary;

• Manage non-contract special initiatives;

• Manage data and the operation of the BRIA Information Network (BIN) client data system;

• Prepare required federal program reports and ad hoc internal management reports;

• Participate in interagency forums;

• Assist in the development of interagency task forces, workgroups, committees, and other entities as needed.

Additional Comments Salary includes $3026 location pay.
