Minimum Qualifications Head Physical Therapist – Promotion: One year as Senior Physical Therapist. Open Competitive: License to practice physical therapy in New York State and three years of post-licensing physical therapy experience including one year as supervisor of a physical therapy unit.

Duties Description • Plans and supervises physical therapy for a major service unit.
• Supervises a small staff of physical therapy personnel;
• Attends team meetings as indicated to meet individual’s needs;
• Plans and supervises training for staff and for related therapy disciplines;
• Assigns staff to treatment teams and patients to individual therapists;
• Approves individual treatment plans and group exercise plans;
• Plans treatment for outpatient and day care patients;
• Works with community groups and agencies to ensure treatment of eligible groups.
