Minimum Qualifications • Ten(10) years professional experience in providing advice and assistance to executive and senior management in the planning, implementation and evaluation of new and existing operations, policies, procedures and training. At least five (5) years of this experience must have included in the design, development and maintenance of technical training curriculums. At least two (2) years of this experience must have included program management or supervision of professional level staff. OR
• Bachelor’s degree and six (6) years of above described experience. A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• College study may be substituted for up to four years of the required general experience, at the rate of 15 semester credit hours equaling six months of the required experience.
Duties Description This position is in our Information Technology Bureau located in Troy, NY.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the development and delivery of training offerings to OAG employees in a key areas including Video conference/WebEx; Windows 8/10/Office 2016, 365 as it relates to new case management software; and “NYMatters” Case Management. When designing training curriculum, the incumbent will use a variety of tools including Final Cut Pro, Premier, and Avid audio production software. Using these and other computer packages they will be able to produce materials and provide current IT staff the tools and knowledge to continue with future initiatives.
Specific duties will include but not be limited to:
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Creation of learning materials
• Excellent presentation skills
• Present training using a variety of methods including; one on one, classroom, and webinars
• Prepare multimedia materials, such as e-books, videos and manuals, for use in learning
• Determine the appropriate formats in which to present various types of content
• Operate audio-visual equipment, such as projectors and cameras, during classroom presentations or video/web conferences
• Experience with graphic design
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to transfer knowledge and mentor existing training staff
• Video recording and editing using motion graphics and video footage.
• Expertise in using programs such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and Avid
• Effectively write scripts, convey ideas, and deliver information in a clear and logical way
• Experience in web page design and editing
• Experience in the area of instructional design and technology
• Advanced Project Management skills
• Expert in all Microsoft Office 2016/365 applications
MAJOR DELIVERABLES
• Determine best use of video conference/WebEx
• Train end users on the use of video conferencing and WebEx
• Evaluate current and update/create IT training intranet site
• Create methodology for creating training and train IT staff in same
• Evaluate training needs for Windows 8, 10/Office 2016, 365 as relates to case management
• Evaluate training needs for case management software
• Assist IT staff in creating and delivering case management software training
• Create request for training
• Create training feedback mechanism
• Create training plan template
• Knowledge transfer during all processes of development
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in creating training plans, creating course curriculum using advanced multimedia tools, and delivering training using a variety of methodologies;
• Experience in the preparation of multimedia materials, such as e-books, videos and manuals;
• Expertise in using programs such as Final Cut Pro, Premier, and Avid;
• Expert knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle end-user tools;;
• Supervisory experience including coaching and training subordinate staff to transfer knowledge and skills to all levels.
