Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on appropriate eligible list.

Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include but may not be limited to: Administrative Aide, Assistant Workers' Compensation Examiner, Office Assistant 2 Calculations, Office Assistant 2 and Office Assistant 2 Keyboarding. Candidates who have not held a permanent keyboarding title will be required to pass a performance test.

Duties Description The Secretary 1 position provides administrative support to the Staff Development unit which oversees the training services of WCB office locations statewide. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
assisting with the administration of the Statewide Learning Management System for the agency; tracking mandatory training completions; entering enrollment and completion data into the American Red Cross’s learning management system; researching and publicizing training opportunities; assisting staff with training inquiries and issues via phone, email and in-person contacts; transcribing audio tracks into closed captioning for videos; maintaining spreadsheet for class scheduling; handling logistical and equipment arrangements for the unit; assisting trainers with class materials and set-up and documenting internal procedures.
