Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.

Duties Description A Senior Engineering Technician in the Office of Design, would assist in the performance of engineering/surveying work and support services. This may include, but not be limited to: Preparing CADD drawings; taking part in field survey work; collecting and analyzing data; preparing and reviewing maps and plans; developing and checking surveying computations; preparing portions of written reports, assisting in developing and documenting standards and procedures. You will also be expected to use various computer applications in the performance of your duties.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the Department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations
These positions may include the possibility of travel. Overnight stay, night work, overtime and weekend work may be required. Specific requirements, if any, will be discussed at the time of interview.

Additional Comments Occasional mandatory overtime. Compresses workweek allowed after one year of service.<p>
