Minimum Qualifications 30 semester credit hours, including 12 semester credit hours in fisheries, marine resources or wildlife management; mariculture; marine biology; aquaculture, aquatic, marine or terrestrial ecology; zoology; marine technology; botany, limnology; hydrology; or oceanography. All candidates must possess a valid Driver’s License. Ability to operate motorboats and trailers, repair and maintain equipment, and use firearms is desirable.

Background in wetland delineations, ARCGIS, and lake ecology preferred.

Duties Description Position will include assisting with Habitat Program, primarily with Article 24 (Wetlands) work. Also may include some Article 15 (Streams and Lakes) work. Duties include wetland delineations, conducting Article 24 compliance inspections, handling violation complaints, and assisting with permitting process. Critical to ensure compliance with ECL mandated requirements for regulatory permits. Article 24 compliance inspections are needed to ensure environmentally protective requirements are adhered to.

Additional Comments This position pays $15.40 an hour. It is a seasonal, hourly appointment ending no later than 3/31/18. Program needs will determine actual termination date, which may be prior to 3/31/18.
