Minimum Qualifications Qualified applicant must currently have permanent or contingent permanent status as an Office Assistant 1-Keyboarding in a New York State Agency; OR eligible for transfer OR be reachable on the Civil Service List.

Duties Description This Keyboard Specialist 1 will work closely with the Eligibility and Front Door team as part of the OPWDD Core Mission. The Front Door Initiative/Eligibility Review is often the first step for the many families seeking OPWDD services. The Bronx office of the DDRO Region 4 receives hundreds of requests per year for OPWDD services. This position is essential to assist in the processing of these requests.
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Utilize various computer programs to email, scan, develop and maintain spreadsheets.
• Review incoming correspondence and phone calls, and distribute to appropriate team members.
• Process requests for eligibility, determine if packets are complete, stamp in documents, enter intake information on spreadsheet and create packet for First Step review.
• Photocopy and/or scan packets and documents for eligibility review.
• Prepare folders for second and third step review, face to face interviews and fair hearings.
• Maintain files for Eligibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
