Duties Description The Disability Review Psychologist is responsible for the review and evaluation of medical evidence concerning mental impairments to determine its adequacy for making disability decisions for the Social Security Administration’s Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income benefit programs. Other duties include: providing assistance to resolve conflicts in the medical evidence; obtaining additional documentation or clarifying information by doctor-to-doctor phone contact with previously contacted sources; and authorizing the purchase of Consultative examinations and/or special tests.

Additional Comments Full-time, permanent or provisional appointments will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
