Duties Description Under the direction of the Principal Accountant and the Associate Internal Auditor, the incumbent will conduct financial, operational, compliance and performance audits from initial entrance conference through final reporting and provide value added consultative services to Board management on an as needed basis. Duties include but are not limited to: providing input to Internal Audit management for the audit plan, ensuring that all area of concern are fully covered, and that the detailed programs adequately address the scope and objectives; conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits; documenting process flows for audits (using flowcharting and narrative) and documenting audit testing and trend analysis; conducting additional compliance or substantive testing, or other audit procedures as necessary; preparing and obtaining approval of the preliminary findings and hold periodic meetings advising the Principal Accountant and the Associate Internal Auditor of the audit’s progress and problems; reviewing all audit work papers ensuring they support the findings are accurate, complete, concise, and in conformance with the polices of the Office of Internal Audit; assisting with the preparation of audit reports; and preparing audit activity reports.
