Minimum Qualifications For Teacher 2: Current New York State Education Department provisional/initial certification in classroom teaching in the Elementary School Subjects.
For Teacher 3: Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the Elementary School Subjects.
For Teacher 4: Current New York State Education Department permanent/professional certification in classroom teaching in the Elementary School Subjects and two years of post-certification (provisional/initial or permanent/professional) teaching experience in Elementary School Subjects.
For the Elementary School Subjects examination(s), you must possess New York State Certification in one of the following: Childhood Education (Grades 1-6); Pre Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 1-6; Nursery, Kindergarten & Grades 1-6; or Common Branch Subjects (1-6). You must pass, and be reachable on the next exam.
Duties Description Develop and implement an instructional plan for each learner, utilizing a diagnostic, prescriptive approach. As a Teacher you would periodically review and evaluate the progress of each learner, and update the assignments given. You would provide a variety of appropriate instructional opportunities for each learner. Keep state record cards updated and available. Provide a classroom environment which is conducive to learning. Maintain professional relationships with other staff, facility, and with the learners.
Additional Comments Salary is based on meeting minimum qualifications for Teacher 2, Teacher 3, or Teacher 4. This will be discussed at time of interview.
