Minimum Qualifications In order to be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Assist Director of Construction with tracking correspondence, responses, assignments and deadlines.
• View and assist in keeping the Director’s calendar appointments and schedule meetings/appointments as needed.
• Track state-wide Construction vehicle usage and personal car mileage utilizing ExpenseAnywhere and Fleet Management reports.
• Organize and prepare travel forms, agendas and handouts for group travel and training.
• Maintain NPS and travel budgets.
• Independently draft and prepare correspondence and edit documents as needed.
• File, respond to in-coming calls and e-mail inquiries. As well as direct inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Manage in-coming and out-going mail.
• Function as Purchasing Coordinator.
• Function as Personnel Coordinator.
• Work cooperatively with internal and external staff while exercising a considerable amount of independent judgment in performing duties.
• Possess and apply with proficiency Department applications: TADS; ExpenseAnywhere; BI Reporting; EBO; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access Outlook, PowerPoint); Internet Explorer and other applications and programs that are or become utilized by the Office of Construction.
• Performing other duties, as required.
Responsibilities also may include participating within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
