Minimum Qualifications Interested candidates must be a NYS employee eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law OR be reach on the Business Systems Analyst 2 eligible list.
To be eligible to transfer under Section 52.6, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service in a qualifying title allocated to a SG-21 or higher.
Duties Description The BSA 2 will serve as a business analyst evaluating WCB functional processes, and will be responsible for support, development and maintenance of enterprise process models using recognized business analysis techniques (i.e. Data Flow Diagram, Business Process Model, Context Diagram). In addition to process modeling, the position will be responsible for eliciting, describing and maintaining requirements in comprehensive written document(s) (i.e. Business Case, Functional Specifications, and Business Requirements Document). The business analyst may also be required to participate in implementation functions not limited to system testing, user acceptance testing, and procedure development. The incumbent must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be familiar with business intelligence tools to evaluate process performance data to identify and quantify opportunities for improvement
