Minimum Qualifications Nine years of experience managing complex IT projects. Two years of the experience must have been at a supervisory level. The following degrees, preferably in Computer Science or a related field, may substitute for experience as indicated:
• Associate’s degree and seven years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience
• Master’s degree and four years of experience
• Ph.D. and three years of experience
Duties Description Under the direction of the Project Assistant, SGE-29, within the Portfolio Management section of the Enterprise Solutions Services Engineering bureau within the Chief Technology Office, the Project Director will establish and manage an Enterprise Portfolio Unit.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Establish CTO Enterprise Project Management standards and ensure standards are formally adopted
• Establish a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Enterprise Project Management within CTO
• Regularly analyze the execution of the Enterprise Portfolio and identifies opportunities to realize benefits
• Regularly monitor the health of projects within the CTO Enterprise Portfolio and identifies corrective actions as needed
• Regularly monitor the scope, budget and resource capacity to deliver the CTO Enterprise Portfolio; provide recommendations as appropriate
• Oversee CTO-PMO Enterprise Projects and guidance for Enterprise Project Managers as appropriate
• Align the Enterprise Portfolio with CTO-PMO, CTO & ITS business processes
• Perform a full range of supervisory responsibilities
