Duties Description Duties include review of initial notice of a claim and obtain information necessary for proper reporting to the NYS Workers’ Compensation Board; review and organize loss records and initiate proper processing routines; under close supervision, processes routine/non complex compensation claims which may include payment of medical and indemnity; close files within prescribed timeframes as determined by performance measures; initiates and responds to written and telephone inquiries from claimants, attorneys, doctors, vendors, employers and internal customers; and
assist higher level claims staff on more difficult and higher valued claims.
