Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as an Investigative Officer 1 Beverage Control; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 14 or above and eligible for transfer under Section(s) 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description • Obtain information concerning application for various type licenses or permits to sell alcoholic beverages. Interview complainants, witnesses, licensees, employees, and take written statements/affidavits relating to possible violations of the Alcoholic Beverage Control law, rules and regulations. Conduct both disclosed and undercover investigations. Examine records of licensed establishments to insure compliance with Alcoholic Beverage Control Law.
• Travel is required. Hours may include nights and weekends.
Additional Comments Candidates will be required to meet the requirements for Peace Officer status, and physical/medical standards by successful completion of a qualifying pre-employment physical examination.
