Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be employed by New York State to be eligible to apply for this position.

Candidates must have permanent status as an Program Aide (formerally Agency Program Aide/Administrative Aide), Grade 13, and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill a Program Aide, Grade 13, position in the Office of Financial Management, Consolidated Business Office. The Consolidated Business Office (CBO) is responsible for consolidated cash management, purchasing, vouchering, contract and payroll services for OMH Central Office and 24 OMH psychiatric facilities. The incumbent of this position will support the Contract Management Specialists within the Procurement Unit of the Consolidated Business Office. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Direct supervision needed by the Operations Support Unit in order for each member to function as needed.

Closely monitor all processes to ensure that the goals of Unit are being met.

Development and maintenance of various reports run through the New York State Financial System (SFS) and other computer programs in order to monitor and evaluate data, collect and analyze statistics, develop and implement methods of data analysis.

Prepare report and memoranda in accordance with agency guidelines or commitments; as well as gather, review, and evaluation information required to assist Managers, Supervisors, and staff to effectively do their job functions.

Review and approve credit card applications submitted by agency representatives to ensure that applicable guidelines are followed, necessary back up documentation is included and that the request conforms to the Business Service Center and the Office of State Comptroller requirements.
