Minimum Qualifications • Currently be employed by New York State as a permanent or contingent permanent Developmental Disabilities Program Specialist 1, OR
• in a title eligible for 70.1 transfer, OR
• 2. Reachable for appointment on the Civil Service list.
Duties Description JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• Supervising the capacity management staff.
• Following the statewide capacity management guidelines.
• Ensuring complete referral packets are reviewed timely and additional information requested when needed.
• Maintaining local database with names of individuals, their needs, referrals made and disposition.
• Participating in all statewide meetings regarding the residential referral process
• Participating in proposal review committee meetings.
• Interfacing with hospitals, other state agencies and voluntary providers to ensure services are provided to individuals in need.
