Minimum Qualifications: You must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a G-5 or higher clerical, secretarial, keyboarding, or paraprofessional** title set in an office environment
Duties Description Under the general supervision of the Head Clerk Personnel the duties include but are not limited to:
• Recruitment of new employees/Recruitment Events.
• Schedule 10A random drug testing.
• Input and maintain personnel database.
• Input into LENS/WEX data and run abstracts of new hires.
• Run NYSTEP history reports.
• Responsible for implementation and oversight of the Criminal Background Check Systems for New York State, Family Care and Voluntary employees.
• Oversees the performance and probationary evaluation systems.
• Oversees eligible list canvasses for Direct Care Titles, assuring that interviews are conducted and appointments are made in a timely manner and consistent with Civil Service Law.
• Schedules Candidates for Physical / Agility at EHS and Fingerprints
• Responsible for NYS Nurse Aides Registry & Medicaid Fraud checks for new hires
• Collecting and organizing statistical data for the preparation of various reports. May make recommendation to Personnel Administrators based on the results of studies.
• Administer / Monitor decentralized Civil Service exams, extensive travel through Franklin, Clinton, Hamilton and St. Lawrence Counties, after normal work hours and Saturdays are sometimes required.
• Assist with implementation and support of TIMES program.
• Reference Checks for all candidates to be hired.
• Requirement of some evenings and weekends due to Recruitment.
• Other Duties as assigned.
Additional Comments • For CSEA positions: Local Bidding Agreements will be honored.
