Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employees with one year of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55b/c service as a Human Resources Specialist 2 and eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law; OR one year of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a title allocated to a SG-21 or above and eligible for transfer under section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Perform a variety of duties in support of human resources administration for the Office of General Services and Host Agencies. The incumbent will serve as primary liaison for assigned program areas and/or hosted agencies, serving as a supervisor for the Management Services Unit which includes responsibility for classification and recruitment activities in accordance with Civil Service Law, Rules and Regulations, policies, and procedures; transfer of function activities; discretionary leave administration; consultation with program managers to compile information to prepare and coordinate submission of Employee Health Service examinations; the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act drug testing program; consultation with program managers and supervisors regarding the performance evaluation program; performance evaluation training of supervisors; onboarding training for new employees, liaison for Student Internship Portal for OGS and hosted agencies; conduct research related to various assigned special projects or for use in development of policy and/or procedures; coordinate the content and distribution of agency-specific on-boarding documents/policies. Prepare routine correspondence and reports and carry out full supervisory responsibilities.
