Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years of professional full-time experience working with institutional Fixed Income investments as defined as follows:
Evaluating fixed income securities/investments and recommending & concluding on the investment merits and/or drawbacks of existing and/or potential fixed income investments.
And/or
Executing institutional investment buy/sell decisions as they relate to short-term bonds and foreign exchange and/or the ability to independently make and/or evaluate buy/sell decisions regarding another fixed income sub-asset class (Examples include agency mortgages, corporate bonds and/or asset backed securities).
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a closely related field of study substitutes for one (1) year of professional work experience.
Holding a Chartered Financial Analyst designation substitutes for one (1) year of professional work experience.
Duties Description Credit Review and Analysis of long-term bond issues owned and/or contemplated to be purchased, held, tendered or sold. Credit review, analysis and recommendation of short term/money market issuers to be included in the eligible to invest list- 25% to 50%
Periodic execution of long-term corporate bond buys & sells (new issue or secondary)- 5% to 20%
Back up to invest cash in short-term bonds- 5% to 10%
Perform Foreign Exchange purchases and sales- 5% to 10%
Participate in the monitoring and due diligence of external bond managers (e.g. global bonds) and when needed assist in the active monitoring of separate account securities lending programs administered by third party agent lenders for compliance with program guidelines- 5 to 20%
Assist in the oversight of bond analytics including troubleshooting, creation of reports and, when needed, run monthly FactSet Long Term Bond Reports in a backup capacity- 5% to 10%
Other administrative tasks when needed (e.g. the broker/dealer survey)- 0 to 15%

Computer and Software Knowledge: proficient in the use of Bloomberg, FactSet, MarketAxess, Moody’s, CreditSights and Microsoft Office applications. Plus the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software.
Strong Credit and/or Fixed Income Analysis and Writing Skills: Ability to interpret financial statements, utilize Bloomberg and other tools to investigate credits and/or fixed income securities and perform financial analysis and the ability to concisely document and effectively communicate bond buy/sell recommendations.
Execution of short-term bond purchases: ability to independently execute short-term bond transactions when needed.
Execution of foreign exchange buys & sells: ability to independently execute currency trades.
CFA Charterholder, progress towards becoming a Charterholder, or willing to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Willingness to continually develop financial market/fixed income knowledge and skill set.
