Minimum Qualifications You must hold or have held the title of Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding) on a permanent basis or be reachable on the full-time NYS Civil Service list and respond to canvass letter that will be sent to people on the eligible list. You may also qualify if you are permanent in one of the Office Assistant 2 titles or Library Clerk 2. If you hold one of these titles, you must also pass the Civil Service typing test, which can be administered in the Office of Human Resources.
Duties Description 1. Primary responsibility is to support the word processing and correspondence efforts of the Admissions / Graduate Admissions Office. This includes printing of a large volume of letters/ to various constituents (including Prospective Students, Applicants, and educational professionals). The volume of correspondence will be significant, particularly during the late fall and spring months.
2. This position serves as an Admissions liaison to the Administrative Computing Center. Duties include loading applications into our Student Information System, expediting correction of data errors, and verification of address information. Responsible for various sub-processes such as creation of lists, and exporting of files from the Common Application and SUNY.
3. This position assists in daily procedural tasks related to Access, Onbase, and CRM (Connect) databases.
4. This position also assists in managing all Admissions publication/marketing mailings.
5. Support counselors with correspondence, typing, coordination of various receptions, etc. will also be a function of your responsibilities. This includes visitation programs, information sessions, and open house programs.
6. You will assist other members of the support staff with priority projects or responsibilities. This includes the rotation of assistance as back-up receptionist, mass mailings, application processing, answering phones, etc.
